Improved Solutions for Urban Systems

 

ISUS Inc., a 501-(c )-(3) not-for-profit corporation, operates a comprehensive education and employment training program for Youth Out of the Education Mainstream

Major Development Projects

YouthBuild:
$450,000 1998-99 HUD funding approved. 1999-00 grant pending.

School-to-Work:
$165,000 for 1998 approved.

AmeriCorps:
$300,000 approved for September 1998 – August 1999. $300,000 1999-2000 continuation grant approved.

Points of Light Foundation:
$75,000 approved as a match for Dayton Rotary Club fundraising campaign of $250,000.

Youthbuilt Homes
A panelized construction factory to be used as a training facility. The project is a $6,000,000+ effort. The project has produced a Feasibility Study, a Market Analysis, and a Business Plan.

Rubicon Building: $380,000 in funding committed. Eight apartments underwent major renovation and returned to market as low-income rental units for independent, young adult, ISUS students.
